Revitalizing Bud & Mary’s cannabis brand involved creating a unique identity that stands out in a saturated market. Originally known as MedPharm Iowa, the family-owned company sought a rebrand to facilitate national expansion while emphasizing their heritage—named after the founders’ grandparents, Bud and Mary. This playful nod to the cannabis community was essential to the messaging, as was differentiating the brand from the typical green and weed slang prevalent in the industry. Red became the core color of the new identity, with a focus on science-backed products that consumers can trust. The rebranding project encompassed logo design, brand identity, website development, dispensary signage, environmental graphics, packaging, merch, display ads, radio ads, social media management, online menus, lifestyle photoshoots, product research, data analysis, and monthly reporting.
